Got up and decided to get a run in this morning as I had such a big dinner and dessert yesterday at the fundraiser. Did the neighborhood mile--1.02 in 8:49 (8:38/mile pace).

Then also went to do a 20/20/20 class tonight. Since my leftover sessions expired on 5/31/08, I was stretching it a bit and hoped they would let me workout tonight and not say anything. I changed at work and didn't get there till right at 6pm so I could workout as this will probably be my last.

I will take a running break today and go to the 20/20/20 class. That was good to do some light cardio with upper body weights and stretching.

Decided to go to 20/20/20 tonight and it was a good workout. We used light weights for about 30 minutes of the workout tonight---lots of toning to all parts of the shoulder and upper arms. Although it was lower weights, it was high reps and you could really feel it.

After the long run yesterday and the pressure on my knee, I didn't want to do a run today. Decided it would be a good day to just do the 20/20/20. We did a good cardio and sweated a bit again.

Thought I may get up to run this morning, but just couldn't get motivated. Went to the 20/20/20 class tonight and again got a good 20 minutes of cardio. With the sun setting at it's current time, it shines right into the studio and is sunny on me for a good part of the class. That gets the sweat pouring a bit, then we did some good weight work.

No running again, but at least some cardio again.

Woke up early this morning to run before work, but just couldn't get motivated and the bed was so warm and cozy.

Just went to 20/20/20 tonight, and it kicked my butt. We did some kickboxing moves for the 20 minutes of cardio and I really broke a sweat. This is the first time I broke a sweat at one fo these Synchronicity classes. Then we did some good weight work for the next 20 minutes. Left this 60 minute session feeling like I got a good workout.

Feeling guilty about doing nothing yesterday, thought I'd do two things today. Bill's gone so I got up and ran a mile around the neighborhood this morning. Ran 1.02 in 8:44 (8:32/mile pace).

Then did the 20/20/20 class at night. Did alot of work on the Bosue, so it was a good overall cardio and core workout with weights.

I thought I should lay off the running for the night, so I decided to do the 20/20/20. As I left work I took a wipe-out on the ice. Didn't really fall too hard, actually kind of slid like I was sliding into third base. Stretched a few things, but not too bad. Glad I'm not going to run tonight as I should probably do something a little less intense as I may get sore later.

Since I've been going to the gym alot lately, I thought I'd do the 20/20/20 tonight. This is not a good of a workout as other things, but it's good for variety from treadmills.

It's still pretty nice out, but I wanted to go to the 20/20/20 class. Went to that and got an easy aerobic workout and a good shoulder/deltoid weight & toning workout.

It's still way too cold to run outside, so I took advantage of no evening plans and went to the 20/20/20 class. Haven't been to that in a while. Denise was sick, so Nancy subbed as the instructor. I didn't really like her as a yoga instructor, but I really liked her 20/20/20 class. Good cardio, good weights. Felt good to do this tonight.

202020 again

I really enjoyed the 20-20-20 class last week, so I thought I'd try it again. A whole different type of class, but still really good. I still have a ways to go on my coordination during the aerobic times.... :)

After class, I couldn't decide if I should stop back at work to run on the treadmill or run outside. As I was driving around, I noticed the roads were pretty de-iced, just very icy on the edges. Temp was chilly, but not too bad tonight (very light winds) so I thought I should run outside. Got home and put warmer close on before venturing right out for the neighborhood mile.

Ran 1.04 mile in 8:35 (8:17/mile pace)

20/20/20

Still really windy this morning, so no running for me. I planned to try the new 20/20/20 class at Synchronicity. It's 20 minutes of low-impact cardio, 20 minutes of strength, and 20 minutes of flexibility. It's a pretty good class. The cardio was just enough to get the heartrate up and start to sweat. Lots of coordination, though, much like regular aerobics. Glad I've gotten a little more coordinated in my age. Then for the strength part she told us to use light weights, 2-3 lbs, as we were going to do things on the floor. Figuring I've built up some strength from training, I went with the 3 lbs. Wow, some of the exercises were hard as there were lots of reps. Good workout!

Stopped at the All Saints gym after as I still needed to do my mile. Did a quick mile on the treadmill in about 9:30.
